PARADISE GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY
OBJECTIVES AND HISTORY
The Paradise Genealogical Society (PGS), Inc.'s, objectives are to provide an
organization for the benefit and education of persons interested in
genealogy, local history, and the preservation of public records by
maintaining a genealogical library, presenting educational events, and
publishing local vital records and history.
The Society was organized in April 1968, obtained non-profit status in 1983,
and was incorporated in 1991. PGS is NOT a government or church supported
organization. PGS relies on membership fees, cash donations, publication
sales, and other fund raising activities for it's existence.
The Society is classified as a tax exempt organization under Section
501(c)(3) of the U. S. Internal Revenue Code of 1954. Donations and gifts to
the Society are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
